Maybe because of the rules of getting a first site review there are loads of people giving blunt replies like “Really nice website nothing wrong with it”. That’s not a review and people should really take the time to come up with constructive comments.

Yeah i know what you mean, however a lot of posts get locked by the moderators as they have not gave valid good/negative points.

Like Tone2K11 said we do try to catch that as much as possible, however there is a real easy solution. Don't review their site! Or if you do feel like making a comment, don't give them anymore feedback than they have given.

If people got blackballed enough times in the reviews section for crappy reviews, they would eventually get the picture.

if you see someone who has posted a site for review, and they have only 10 or so posts total to their name, then go to their profile, view all posts by, and have a look.

If you see a list of:

Quote:
Quote:
nice site :)

Quote:
well done :)

Quote:
good job :)

Quote:
wow thats amazing dude, you did well!

Then don't post, you can easily check out who has given decent reviews and who hasn't

The mods DO pick up on this, but not traight away cos they cant be here all the time.

Maybe the sticky should note some suggested comments?

1. Did you find the site easy to navigate?
2. Did you find the content interesting?
3. Is there too many banner adverts?
4. Is it fast too load for any 56k?
5. Is it worth building a forum for it?
6. Is it worth doing a animated Flash logo?

etc...

I got some super feedback when I put those questions in for my site: http://www.ozzu.com/website-reviews/site-review-what-console-t22401.html
