Perhaps Ozzu could do with a link to the Ozzu Rules and Regulations topic on every page. So that when a Mod' tells someone that they're violating the rules, that person can easily find the rules and correct whatever is wrong.

I know the rules aren't hard to find anyway, but I just thought that a link to them on every page might be handy. Especially for people who have just joined, and don't know their was around the board.

If I need to tell someone that they're violating the rules, I usually post a link to the rules & regulations post anyway.

Yeah, suppose it seems like the obvious thing to do.

Naah, what we should do is just force all users to read the rules at least once before they post on the forums. Then force all the users to read them again whenever they happen to change...

Then we can just ban people on a first offense, because we know they've seen the rules and are just blatantly ignoring them

Ozzu should have a rules quiz. Test your knowledge of the RULES!

They actually have this if you coach in the NCAA.

We already do have a test for the rules. It's called "the ability to post in public forums" ;)

Aah, but with a posting quiz, if the results are lower than expected, then the rusults could be automatically forwarded to BWM, or the Mod's, so that they could PM that person, and warn them that they don't know the rules well enough.

I think I can speak for the mods when I say "You won't see us doing a quiz". Whether someone clearly understands the rules is quite evident by the way they post. Bigwebmaster is currently working on a means of implementing a method that forces the rules page upon registering and again upon any changes made to the rules.

Simply speaking, by signing up, you agree to abide by them. The moderators take responsibility for enforcing them.

I think this post is nearing it's end.

I agree. Just a bit of fun :).

Sounds like a good idea, the rules appearing every time there is a change. At least an alert of some kind would be nice, rather than not finding out that the rules have changes until you've been PM'd telling you that you're breaking one of them.

Would you be re-directed to the rules, or would they appear in a new window? Or has it not been decided?

i think someone who brakes the rules should be made to take the test before they can post again
