How about allowing members to hide forums from their view. I'm talking in particular about the 'General Discussion' forum. If it wasn't there I wouldn't click on it, but it is and I am always inclined to (click on it) as sometimes there is a thread on there that is somewhat interesting. For the most part though it - and certain posters - give me a webache (like a headache but different :x). If I could hide it I would so the temptation would be gone.

Plus there are many forums that I rarely or never visit, if I could hide those too I would.

Just a suggestion.

If the GD bothers you much then simply click on the "General Topics" section of the site. Granted, it does not do what you wish it to in the way you want it do. It, however, does hide the GD forum but takes the Announcements forum with it.

I agree though, it is something that should be included but i have my doubts on the importance of it. It can easily be included to later versions of the White theme. Just let us see this white theme before making minor not important modifications like this.

Not a problem if you're subscribed to the Announcement Forum RSS Feed.

OK, maybe it's just me. Why are you reloading the page? Just bookmark the link I gave and click the category you want to view. Everything else is collapsed.

Not following you Joe. In FF and IE, if you click the category links in the link I posted it expands the category you select and doesn't reload all of OZZU. It hides any other categories except the one selected. I didn't check in Opera which I assume you're using.
