Is it really necessary to show the spiders and bots in the "Who's Online" list? It gets kind of annoying to always see them there when I'm checking for particular members to stalk.

Thats how it is by default with PHPBB3, I will see if I can change that around a bit.

Ah I see, I was under the impression that I could be turned off in the ACP, but I could just be imagining things.

It is possible I just don't know where that option is. I looked briefly and couldn't find anything. I think it will require me to do some recoding to simply that list. Currently it shows registered, and then guests can be shown if you select that option. Preferably I would make another option to turn the bots on too but have it disabled by default.

Alright, as long as I'm not completely insane. It's not really a big deal, I just never saw the point in displaying the bots to all users.

Admins I can understand, since they'd want to know who's spidering their site, but for the rest of us, Yahoo Bot is like that annoying kid from high school who always hung around and made awkward jokes. We'd rather just ignore him. ;)

I don't trust 'em. Once they escape from the Internet, they'll run rampant and index us all.
