I am writing a photography tutorial at the moment and I just looked to see if there was a tutorial section in photography - apparently not.

Hrmm, you should have no trouble getting support on this, but I'm behind you. I might even consider getting in on the action, depending on how the Programming section goes. I've been meaning to get my portfolio together for a while now. ^_^
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

I'm sure Bigweb will see this post and add it. In the meantime when you have your tutorial ready to post, if it hasn't been added by then, just send him a PM.

I still think there should be one root tutorial forum where tutorials of any subject can be posted, with topic-specific subforums.

The existing tutorial subforums could bbe replaced with link-type forums pointing to their subforums in the root tutorials forum.

The root forum where any subject can be posted is a biggy though I think. I'm pretty sure I've seen more "There's no xx tutorial forum" posts than posts with tutorials in them. :)

It does get kind of annoying to have to scroll past all the tutorial subforums to get to the new topics, especially in Programming.

I'm kind of in agreement with Joe's thought as well.

The photography tutorial section is now made:

photography-tutorials/

As far as re-organizing the tutorial sections, that may come later.
