sometimes in FF the links appear orange on mouseover for me.

I also have a load of errorsin the javascript console from the fader.js

It appears to be a Firefox glitch. The code hasn't changed. I've seen the same thing.

The mouse overs don't really work in Opera. The links change to red, but then don't change back.
