as they say in those replies, GIMP is as close to a linux alternative that you'll get. and its free unlike photoshop.
but if you wanted/needed/preferred photoshop (as i do), as it is also mentioned in that post crossover office will run it. i dont believe photoshop would install with wine but i've never really tried. but you have to pay for crossover office unless you just want their 30 day trial ( http://www.codeweavers.com ). otherwise as is stated theres vmware but i believe that costs money too? right?
i think so..

I was just worried that there wouldn't be as many things as photoshop, like nice brush sets, and fonts, but I found good ones, so now everything is making sense, and it works fine :)

hmm....did you read any of the posts before posting yourself? because it doesn't appear that way......like, not even a little bit. lol
the tutorial bit was a good idea, but searching google for gimp tutorials would work just as well IMHO..
and yes, its winehq.com but with most linux distro's wine will either come preinstalled if you so choose or you can have your package manager install it for you so you dont have to deal with downloading/installing manually....

the filters. i dont find them as easy to use and i dont find it to have as many in the gimp, so therefore i find photoshop more suiting to my needs. i also dont like the setup of gimp. i feel more "at home" in photoshop. of course now a days usually the most i'm doing is resizing photos and maybe some cropping / minor editing. lol i did however edit this photo to be somewhat more funny of a friend of mine.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/a ... lAllie.jpg :]
