IIRC, if you set the include path, you will only be allowed to include or require files from these directories.
If that is one of -- or your only -- include dir, you may want to remove the '.:', and stick with /usr/share/php. a '.' before a slash makes it think "everything from this dir up in recursion", the colon confuses it further either as a real character or if a distributed file system is in operation, root of DCE.

Try with just /usr/share/php.
