i know this topic is covered extremely well on the internet, its just that i am certifiably retarted and do not understand any of it.
i purchased a 256mb flashdrive [i know its small, it was the only one there] and i want to be able to boot a small distro of linux on it. i was looking at puppy linux, and it *says* that theres an installation tool that allows you to install straight to a usb drive, but there isnt.

please help.

thanks in advance

Burn a live-puppy cd from one of the ISOs and boot up with it.
Once you have live-puppy running from cd you can selet to install flash-puppy to USB from a setup wizard.
I don't remember exactly where the setup wizard is, but I think it says something like "Install to USB" or something like that.
