yea...dont you add something to your .bash_profile file?
all i want is for gaim and xmms to come up when i login to gnome (FC5) :oops: lol thx guys

You're thinking of ~/.bashrc

There's basically two ways to do it "right" (depending on just how lazy you are)
System > Preferences > More Preferences > Sessions, then check "Automatically save changes to session". Start up gaim and xmms and then log out. Once you'e logged back in, go back and uncheck that option.

System > Preferences > More Preferences > Sessions > Startup Programs and add them into there.
