I'm pretty much a newb at all this. But, I was on the redhat website and there was fedora core. I already had gotten a linux CD from my mom's officemate, which turned out to be SuSE 9.0. I tried it, I liked it, but I wanted to try another distribution. So, when reading the documentation, it tells me to burn ISO images.

How do I burn an ISO image?

Right now I have CD BurnerXP Pro on my desktop and...erm...roxio easy cd creator...-__-", I found CD BurnerXP Pro off the internet as freeware, if anyone has used it before, how can I burn ISO Images with it.

-or-

Get nero?

if your a windows user or have a windows box lying around, you can always download Nero ... they have a demo program that usually give the option of burning an ISO image.

if your an XP user, let me know and i can walk you through everything.

Nero Burning ROM
Version 5.x /6.x
Launch Nero.
Choose File, Burn Image and you'll be presented with a dialog box.
Click on the Files of type: dropdown box and select All Files (*.*).
Select the .ISO file you downloaded then press Open.
Next, Nero will show another dialog box of CD burning options. Accept the defaults:
Type of Image: Data Mode 1
Block size (Bytes): 2048
Image header (Bytes): 0
Image trailer (Bytes): 0)
Choose OK.
The Write CD dialog box should appear next.
Make sure Write, Finalize CD, and Disc-At-Once are checked, then choose Write.
Tips:

You must use the “Finalize CD” and “Disc-At-Once” option in Nero, or you will get the error: "FATAL ERROR: Installation of side by side assemblies failed" during setup.

You must specify *.* for the file type to see the .ISO file.

i just pulled this from http://members.home.nl/lsnoek/iso.htm

let me know if you need anymore help
