Hi,
"cardmgr[74] socket 1 watching" is hanging up when i get that far after restarting the computer run the installation. THis occurs when u see the penguin icon and all the text is ging down then it just stops at "cardmgr[74] socket 1 watching". Does anyone know how to fix this ?

what distro are you using?
"when u see the penguin icon and all the text is going down" ? do you mean while your computer is initially booting?
after you run the installatino for what? exactly what did you install before this error occurred?

I was starting slackware 10.2 up i was booting it. i get that error when i bot it just stops.

so you've had this installed and its booted successfully, and you didn't change or install anything. you just booted it up one day and it popped out with that message. ?
