CGI Software for Unix...Please lend a hand...

Anybody could recommend a CGI program (visit counter and statistics) that work well in Unix servers?
What server folders are these programs located in?

It's been many moons since I ran a Unix machine (atleast since I got XP Pro the week it came out) and I haven't turned back. XP has been nothing but stable for me. Back to the point, I would wait for another suggestion, as I am sure there have been vast improvements since the days I ran my NetBSD machine.
