Hi all,

The 'find' command can be used to locate a file in the current directory. How to search for a file in a specified directory or right from the root.

Lord.

There's only million and 1 ways to accomplish this.

Try this one,

to search entire drive;
find / -name <name of file>

to search current or static directory;
find /<path>/<to>/<directory>/ -name <filename>

Much faster to use 'locate' for a system wide search.
