So I have this idea, right now I'm running dual monitors with dual cubes. Its nice but you can't move windows between the two monitors (for good reason, they are two seperate cubes).

Now what if you could run a single cube and have your two monitors display off of it?

It would work the same as any 3D game does. Each character in a game has a camera that they see the world through. For the desktop, each of your monitors would be its own camera and they independently move around the desktop cube (Much like each character can move around in a 3D world). If both cameras are on the same side of the cube, it would appear as if you were running a clone of your desktop.

Any idea if this has been done? If not I may spend my weekend hack gnome/compiz
