i have a problem

i'm using linux SuSE 10.1 and want to connect to internet. but computer that connect to internet in my office using Windows and share the internet connection. how do i can connect to internet through that computer?

That's the hard way to do it. Can't you connect through another wall jack, switch or router?

no router, but there is a hub connecting my computer to that computer.

anyway can the ADSL Modem accept 2 connection at same time? That modem connect directly to hub and phone line. and the windows computer connect to internet using that modem and share the internet to other client. so can i connect to that modem at same time?

I don't think it will work without a router but you can try connecting the WAN port of the hub to the modem and both PCs to the hub.

Connect the cat5 cable from the NIC on the Linux box to the cable modem. Run dhclient eth0 or whatever the NIC is called in the dmesg output. The desktop environment doesn't matter.
