Does Red Hat 9 run in x86 mode?

Provided you installed either xfree86 or xorg -- which I think is part of the default install for RH.

The of course, you need a window manager, such as KDE, XFCE, etc.

So when the machine comes up it's NOT in graphical mode? I thought RedHat has been doing that since at least 7.
