Just trying to download Suse Linux (hoping this is a good choice for a complete Linux beginner?) I've already got the Live-9.1 coming down (I like the idea of running from a CD so I don't wreck my good install, but also wanted to install it on an old machine.

Problem is I have no idea what I need to get from <a href="counter/exit.cgi?ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.0/" target="_blank" class="postlink">here.</a>

I've started downloading the entire directory and its currently saying 3 days! So i'm guessing i'm doanloading a little too much? Unfortunately I cannot tell how big all the folders are.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

I've already got the live CD cheers, but its a full Linux installation i'm after. That entire directory is going to take 5 days to download, so i'm guessing I don't need the whole lot?
