Hello everyone

Well I have this drawback when I want to run an application that is used for calculations. Application is necessary to compile from scratch and then seek Intel libraries or I think of OpenMPI also should work, good inter-departmental in theory works, but I needed to make it run in multithreaded so that install MPI libraries that you have a file called MPIRUN which lets do this, the downside is that when I run the application as a user common, stopped in the path where this the MPIRUN throws me the following error:

/usr/lib64/mvapich2/1.4-gcc/bin/mpirun - np 4.../../Mare2Dem
mpiexec_subuetmhml2: cannot connect to local mpd (/tmp/mpd2.console_se13199); possible causes:
1. not mpd is running on this host
2 an mpd is running but was started without a "console" (-n option)
In case 1, you can start an mpd on this host with:
and you will be able to run jobs just on this host.
For more details on starting rrocker on a set of hosts, see
the MVAPICH2 User Guide.

If I do as root it yields the following:

/usr/lib64/mvapich2/1.4-gcc/bin/mpirun - np 4.../../Mare2Dem
/usr/lib64/mvapich2/1.4-gcc/bin/mpdroot: open failed for roots mpd conf filempiexec_subuetmhml2 (__init__ 1190): forked process failed; status = 255

Does anyone know what this?

Thanks a lot!!

HOw many nodes did you spawn?

Run mpdtrace to see if they are all running.
