I have a network of XP & Linux machines. From my Linux machines I do not want to access any networked pc - be it LINUX or windows.
I have removed samba configuration tool but still it when I click on network servers- it shows me the names of all the windows pc.
Please tell me how to restrict users of LINUX to access other machines in network

HELP !!!! Its urgent. :(

even though Linux users can see all your network computers but that doesn't mean that they can access it as long as your firewall is running and you assign passwords to all machines

... and remove guest accounts from the Windows machines... and remove the RPC exploits from the Windows machines... and remove the Windows machines. :)

Heh.

Anything that announces itself to the network will show up, though the users will require a login to access the unit.
