I'm trying to set up an internet connection on my new linux box. I'm new to this sort of thing though. Ok, basically i've created a new xDSL connection stuck the hostname, the IP, the username and the password in, plugged all the network cables in and its still not activating. The default eth0 is though. What am I doing wrong? How do i set up a new xDSL connection that will work?

If you are on RedHat you might want to check you FireWall. Because i think that redhat sets one up on its own and blockes all other connections like FTP,HTTP,TELNET, ect.

Good Luck!
