Format ubuntu

about the topic........how can i reformat my ubuntu using the live cd itself not using any third party software.........just like the windows xp boot cd........

The Ubuntu install program has an option to manually partition the disks before installing. You'll be able to add, remove and format drives there.

so i choosed the manual partition instead used the intire disk......

Sorry, I do not know the way to format ubuntu, but I know another way to finish the operation--Partition Assistant, this tool has free edition.
Before you use it, you can read the article--Guidelines on how to partition a hard drive by Creating, Deleting, Formatting and Resizing Partition. Get some useful information through it. :D
