I was just wondering if GCC and PHP come with FreeBSD... can somebody help? thanks

They'll definitely run with FreeBSD... you have some flexibility as to what gets installed (and what doesn't) during the installation procedure. Check out the FreeBSD website: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO885 ... stall.html

GCC (or the GNU C compiler) comes standard with FBSD.

PHP is available in several forms in the ports collection.
