i want to install fedore core on another partition, so i could still use my windows.

firstly, i use partition magix to create a F drive 20gb which is UNFORMATTED.

i try installing

problem now is the only option i could select after automatic partition is "remove all partition",else error messages would appear

and instead of having 2 hard disks for me to choose,

there is only one option, which is the size of my two partitions together.

what's wrong?

thanks

Gonna take a stab here.

If you have actually created an 'F:" drive, than you have designated that logical device for NTFS which means it's possible to have written to the MBR that you need this device partitioned as an NTFS device, so that you can proceed with format.
If you have Windows 2k or Xp you should be able to open up Admin tools-> computer management.

Do not assign drive letters to logical devices you wish to dual-boot to, unless you intend to use VMWare.

Of course, you do want to make sure what is being reported at boot time is bytes, and not blocks.

Cheers.
