How to install?

I am tring to install Digest-MD5-2.33 and it says that it needs Digest::Base to install MD5. So i downloaded Digest-1.08. Now what exactly do I have to do to install it. I am as far as:

perl Makefile.PL

Then it updates the Makefile

What next? I am still really new at this stuff :D,

Presumably you are on a *nix machine, so the next step is to become root, if you are not already and run the compiler.

in that dir, type
make
then type
make install

That's pretty much it. It will copy the files to the appropriate directories, (libraries, etc.)

I was reading one for a windows puter and it was nmake. It was very confusing LOL sorry, i feel dumb now :P,
