It's your machine that seems to be in another time zone. Your posts are marked 2 days in advance.

Secondly, it's hard to help a cheap person. If he can't buy a PS2 mouse or even a 3 dollar adapter to help pinpoint the problem, there isn't much anyone can do to be helpful.

I'm about ready to stop watching this thread. It's losing all sense of logic.

agreed.

the poster already stated the mouse works in windows.
its not like the usb port breaks whenever he boots into linux and a usb->ps2 converter will magically fix the problem.. >.<

We don't know that until he tries it. Trying a PS2 mouse or adapter is the next logical step in the process of elimination.

The USB mouse works on a USB port in Windows but it doesn't work on the USB port in Linux.

However, a PS2 mouse may work on his Linux box without having to reconfigure drivers. That is my point. It's very simple, easy to understand and easy to try. Not only is it easy to try but it's worth trying.

thats true.
but its less cost effective if he doesn't already possess a ps2 mouse or a usb->ps2 converter.

If he is totally broke, I can understand not purchasing the mouse or adapter. In that case, maybe he could borrow a PS@ mouse for the short time it would take to make the test.

Suppose we wait for the original poster to tell us if he is going to do that or not? We can do the same in the thread about the remote desktop and Fedora as well.

Actually, no. Everyone else's date was spot on. I imagine you had not changed your Ozzu control panel timezone difference after the upgrade.

There's quote a bit you can do to help someone who does not have the funds to purchase new hardware; *nix's work just fine with older hardware -- thus the draw for quite a few people.

I haven't been able to open the ozzu control panel for the last 2 days. Maybe you can solve that problem while we take a survey on who can afford a mouse or an adapter. It seems that the original poster hasn't returned to answer the question.

It's April 2nd, almost 7PM, here in NY. My PC says it's April 2nd and so does my cell phone. I don't know what the date is where you are.

It's not a wireless mouse is it? I've had a few problems with Linux and wireless mouses. Just throwing that out there if that's the case. Otherwise I'd just grab an old ps2 mouse and try that.
