I am planning on taking a ASUS eee PC and turning it into a CARputer (in car computer)

I have seen many hacks especially by jkkmobile that intrest me and i will probably implement into my system.
Some of these are

-Bluetooth
-Touchscreen
-GPS
-Car Power Supply Management
-Radio reciever

The idea is to fit the pc into a shell and have the monitor at the face of the shell.
the shell is the size of two standard headunits.

The eeePC has a screen of 7" which fits perfectly into the car.

What i need to know now is how exactly i am ging to make ouputs for better sound. because the triple e doesnt come with a slot for a sound card.
and i wish to have the same outputs that my normal cd player has.

I also plan on running Kubuntu probably 8.10 by the time the project is up to that stage.
Tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions.

Thanks

Go for it and let us know if it worked.

I just thought of something with the sound. Send the output from the chipset to another amplifier. At home I send the output to my home stereo system. It rocks.
