hwo to change the default language?

i installed a RH9 on VM Machine, and the defualt language selected is chinese, but i also select english language support. When the install process finished , i found i cant use the level5 logining the system due to the hardware not supported by the system. I have to use level3 text, but hte problem occured . all the chinese character displays abnormally. so i wanna change the default language to english.

How to do that wilthout graphic interface?
