HI everyone,
I am trying to install wireshark on fc7. I have downloaded it both as rpm form and as the source code. By surfing the various sites i got to know that when installing from the source code we have to follow the steps of 1. ./configure then make and lastly make install.

after doing all these also m experience a lot of problem. If you have a solution for this then please guide me. I will be really thankful to u.

Regards
Vaibhav

You shouldn't be installing from source on a package-based distribution such as Fedora. Use yum to install the package.

Bring up a terminal and log in as root using su -, then run the following command:

Code: [ Select ]
yum install wireshark

Yum should automatically search available repositories, then download and install all necessary packages and dependencies.
