soon i'm going to download a CD/DVD version of Linux to use for developing my website to be used on Linux/Windows.

Is Kanotix a good testing Linux for what i'm wanting to do or is there an easier LiveCd distibution out there, or should i just compile my own CD from something like DSL?

what did you decide to download?

i'd say pretty much any LiveCD that has a KDE desktop would be a good idea as this would probably mean it contained kdevelop which contains a pretty nice HTML editor. although its not entirely necessary as you can use any text editor for html "coding".

and why are you using a livecd? why dont you just install a linux distro to your hard drive? that would make the whole "saving files" thing somewhat easier...i can't really see reasoning for needing a LiveCD distro just for web dev. unless you were simply using the distro to test how your site looked in like konqueror/epiphany..
