Linux os GUI problem

hi,
im working in oracle apps dba... im a fresher to this technology.. though i kno some of the applications inb 11i concepts im getting issues in the linus os.... in my server system we installed linux redhat os... in that i cant able to acces the GUI mode in that os from last day.. so developers cant able to access the instance in this linux sever.. how can i rectify this issue.. please any one tell me... wat to do now.??.how i get the the GUI mode again.. wat can i do for that.??.

The startx command should start the GUI. If you want to boot to a GUI, set the runlevel.

All details are in the manual pages. To access them, run

man startx

man runlevel

hi ,
I tried the way u told by using the xsever method. But since i cant able to access the GUI mode. I tried the way that u told.. please tell any other method to invoke this GUI to clear my issue....

Those are the only two ways I know. Check your configuration.

Hi,
Im getting these following errors,

An errors occured during the file system check.
dropping you to a shell:the system will reboot
when you leave the shell.

/dev/v01group00/logVO 100: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY;
Run F Sck Manually without irq balance:[FAILED]

rm: cannot remove '/var/lock/subsys/rpc.idnapd'; Read only file system

*Error read block 52953121


im getting these error please anyone respond quick... i need to solve this issue within a day.....
