that doesn't mean you'd have to make a livecd..? lol you could download one of the hundreds that are already out there, freely available, fully functioning, etc..

you could also use a utility to create a backup image of your current vista installation. http://www.thefreecountry.org will have utilities that are freely available for such a task, although the only ones i've had experience with are norton ghost and acronis true image..

mm..i dont get it. lol
you SHOULD have another OS.. i probably have (between iso's and disks) at least 15. i only have 3 installed atm, but quite a few are also livecd's
