I am totally new to the linux invironment . I just installed Red Hat Linux 7.2.
After the whole installation went perfect there is only one problem. I can't login on my computer anymore. I typed and the login and and pressed enter then you have to repeat it, but when i type the cursor doesn't move at all.
I wanted to make a winxp/linux bootable system but now i can't login in either of them anymore. Can anyone help me with my problem?

Hi i might have misread your post but.....

do you mean that you type in the username and it enters ok.
but when it prompts you to type in the password the cursor does not move ?

in which case thats ok it meant to be like that, so no-one can see how many password characters you are entering, just enter your password and hit return and you should log in ok. but when you come from a windows background it is very weird...

Hmm no not really. It means that i did enter the username and pressed enter, but when i try typing the password and then press enter, nothing happens. I really don't get why the system got stuck there.
