I am trying to install mandrake 9.1 but i keep getting an error saying that a hard drive interupt has failed.

the error i get is:

<0> Kerrnel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt hanlder:
in interrupt handler - not syncing.

so that mean my hard drive is damaged?

Hmm, that is a wierd error. Ya know, maybe its the driver shunt settings. Is the drive a master or a single? Maybe the shunts are setup for cable select on a single? Then I would change them to single drive config. Check that out, I have never had this problem so I cant be of much more help. Driver shunts would be more likely to affect the BIOS and Board though.
