I have mysql folder in my linux machine. In these folder located folders of the databases I use. One of the folders (databases) was deleted mistakenly. But I have a copy of that folder from the previous day. Can I just copy that folder so the database would work?

If only the database itself was deleted you'll have no problems just dropping in the backed up folder. If the information was removed from the mysql database (the database named "mysql", you may lose some access declarations.
