Need help bad!

hello new to the forum

anyways i need to know where i can find the coding for dvd burning and multimedia such as audio and codecs for avi's and what not attempting to build something which will later on be an operating system.
or any tools to locate and view this code.

any help is massively appreciated

What do you mean by "which will later be an operating system"? Are you saying that you don't have one yet or did you mean that it will be on the operating system when it's done?

basically i need it to rip a dvd or cd to a hard drive when i insert the multimedia with out asking any questions

You'de be asking for the copyright people to come knocking on your door if you did that, but the easiest way would be to figure what the full command would be, then either make a shell script or (what I would do) create an alias for that entire command. When you stick the disk in, just type those two or three letters and it will go.
