Post 3+ Months Ago

In light of my last post, I have been more open to the thought of not just NetBSD, but FreeBSD as well. I was wondering if someone here could tell me a little more about which one they like and such. I know that NetBSD is more interested in becoming "super-cross platform" and that FreeBSD is interested in focusing their attention on software, but is that the just of it?

Some questions I have as well are:
Is the command line going to be the same in both?
do they both support linux software?
which is more stable?
which carries more performance?
Why should I use one over the other?

I know that this is going to bring up a lot of opinions and not just facts, but I want those too!

Let me know please and thanks for your time,
Zane
