All I could help you with is samba. What end result are you looking for with your setup? I mean is the linux box going to be the dhcp server? Is this a domain setup?

Hello there,

I am not so much good in this thing. But i can say one thing. If you want to share the internet for a Linux Box to a Windows Box, Either you have to use a iptable configration or you have to get the porxy server up. You will have a defalut proxy server coming with your Red hat 9 CDs. The Squid proxy. You will have to configure any of this to get a shared internet connection coming form the Linux box.

Regards,
Kuttan
