Yea Daemonguy is right, if the Wine emulator won't install the drivers somewhere (as in extract them to someplace) then your basically stuck trying to get it from Windows.

If you don't have a windows partition you can ask a friend to install it and then have him/her send you the required files.

Finally, I've emailed Belkin support about it if I'll relay any messages they give me.

Good luck.

Well you should also know:
cd
ping
su

And so on....there's lots of sites with a bunch of Unix command along with their manuals. Google is friend :D

Good luck with it though.

I have heard of the man pages in the unix book I was reading at Barnes and Noble. It was extremely informative. Unfortunately, you are all probably thinking about Unix, but I was talking about the command prompt in windows. But, I am very interested in the Unix commands as well...but after I read about MS-DOS and the command prompts etc. and after reading my javascript book

javascript is mad awesome. nice and simple. seems like i choose a good programming language to start with. although i could have done basic, but i did that in 4th grade already.

later. jsy.

Alright got a response from Belkin:

Thank you for contacting Belkin Technical Support.

We understand that you are trying to install the network adapter on a
SuSe 9.1 Linux OS and the nidswrapper is also been installed.

Phillip, we currently do not have the Linux drivers of this adapter. But you can
download the drivers from any other Web Site. This F5D7050 adaptor uses the
Broadcom Chipset. You can download the drivers pertaining to this Chipset.

The linux community has developed drivers and you should be able to get them to
work by going to

http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wl ... icense.php.

LINUX drivers for wireless cards

http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/

For information on installing the wireless card on LINUX. please refer to the
support article at http://web.belkin.com/support/kb/kb.asp?a=1512

NDIS wrapper tool can be used instead of drivers for 54g card:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

This should solve the problem.

Phillip, if you need further assistance, you can call us toll free at
800-223-5546.

Alternatively, you can contact our Online Chat Support by clicking the Option
'Online Chat' at the following URL:

Regards,

Austin McDonald
Belkin Technical Support

Hope this helps you.

It did. However, it says my admin password for my comp is incorrect. I'm going crazy here. I set it, I remembered it, I wrote it on a piece of paper. OMG. So annoying.

So you forgot your root password....or something odd happened and your not typing in the correct password.

Open a text document and type in the alphabet and numbers make sure the keys you press are translated properly. If it's messed up go into Yast and make sure you have the correct keyboard map selected. (This is probably not the problem.)

I'll see if there's any way to recover your root password, but just in case you can't do you have any things you would like to keep on your system?

Alright Google showed this:
http://www.aplawrence.com/Linux/lostlinuxpassword.html
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Linux/Linux_Administration/Q_20641404.html

The second one should work. Remember to scroll down to see the replies.

Good luck.
