ocr with ubuntu

I recently downloaded ubuntu linux onto a new machine. I am looking for ocr and document display software that will work with this system. Suggestions?

is there a linux version for the software that came with your scanner?

Can't recommend any of em as I haven't actually used, but I'm pretty sure at least ONE of these will fit your needs.
