hi guys,

i'm trying to install an openldap server over a db on mysql 4.1 and i have a couple of questions concerning the installation and configuration of openldap

1.- i read i have to install cyrus's ssl libraries, and on the install.php of cyrus i read that depending the backend (mysql on my case) i will need to configure the server tables and build the necessary client libraries on the system. ┬┐wich libraries i have to use/build?┬┐where do i get those libraries?
2.- what's the best way to configure openldap with mysql backend? is there a manual, just for the mysql backend?
3.- i read somewhere else that the ports that are i should configure LibIODBC to use the MyODBC driver, for that i should take a look at /usr/local/etc/libiodbc/odbcinst.ini, but i don't have odbcinst.ini nor usr/local/etc/libiodbc folder is this on a specific distro?

i'm really confused and as u can see i could use some help
