Hey guys, how are you all doing.

Recently I install OpenSuse 10.2 using VMware Workstation (similar to Microsoft Virtual PC), when I installed, I was able to use the internet in it, however after I installed the Vmware tools on this OS, I restarted and I lost internet connection, I have not been able to connect to the internet ever since?

Now Im not really familiar with OpenSuse, Im new to it, and I installed with learning purposes.

Do any of you guys have any ideas in how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

It might have something to do with vmware and dhcp. I just did a quick search and there are a lot of hits on it. Check it out.

Im on that too.

Meanwhile you could uninstall the package to get your internet connection back. I tried it, it worked. If you used rpm type as root : rpm -e VMwareTools. Otherwise if you used tar just search the info, it's on the vmware.com web site. See ya soon I hope.
