Problem in Mail

im using mozila on my linux RH9 and my proxy server is windows 2003 i m configuring mozila for my mails send n receive but its failes to contact with my smtp n pop and an other problem is that i can not login on hotmail n yahoo sites i don know whats the problem kindly tell me what to do

yaa my browser is working properly but smtp n pop not working
hotmail n yahoo pages become open but can't login
again mention im using windows 2003 as proxy server

Does hotmail and yahoo now use https for logins? (I honestly can't recall.)

Is your proxy set up to proxy port 443? If not, pass or dump?
How about ports 25 and 110?

its using http for logins
n i assign these ports 25, 110 in my mail configurations but nothing i think of re installation
