Problem with obtaining certificates for GT4.0 installation

I am using the SimpleCA to set up certificates for a GT 4.0 installation.
Everything goes fine but after i enter the PEM pass phrase towards the end it shows :

/home/globus/globus-4.0.0/setup/globus/setup-simple-ca: line 693: build.log: Permission denied
ERROR: could not run build command: /home/globus/globus-4.0.0/sbin/gpt-build -force /home/globus/.globus/simpleCA//globus_simple_ca_c7881362_setup-0.18.tar.gz

What does this error mean? I first installed from the globus user.Then I thought that since it says permission denied, certain rights might not exist . So I switched to root .But then also it shows the same error

Can anybody please tell what this error means and what should I do to rectify it.

There is a later release 4.0.5
Try that.
