Hi all,

Im new to linux and encountered a problem whilst trying to install my wireless NIC. I got a copy of NDISWRAPPER, and done the first few steps ok. But i encountered various problems.

1) I open the terminal window and extracted the files ok, then i typed:

[guvna@loacalhost ndiswrapper-1.2]$ make distclean

All went fine, then i typed

[guvna@localhost ndiswrapper-1.2]$ make

I got a huge heap of test saying error1 kernel cannot be found in /lib/modules/2.4.2-8/build;

What does this mean? It says i have touse KDRS=<path> i tryed that and nothing happenes. Im new to linux and insist on getting it working.

-------------

Theres another problem but i will fix this one first.

Can anyone help.

Thanx.

It means that you have to get the kernel source before you can install ndiswrappers.

You can get the kernel source from kernel.org, just make sure that you get the one that matches your kernel version (2.6.11).
