I need to rename the archived files in tar command

For eg:
File name :test.txt
tar file name: "test.tar.gz"
Renamed File: ~test.txt.done
Can anyone suggest some me how to do this in linux?

I am not sure what you are asking.

You have a tarred/gziped file and you want to rename it?

mv filename filename2?
