HP UX 11.20 terminal settings

Hi All

I am relatively new to the Unix Environment ..


Just Wanna know ....about Terminal Settings in Unix
I am using dtterm ....n want to change its appearance ...the color (preferrablly WHITE), font settings etc etc

Also when i open a terminal window ....trhe profile does/nt Run by itself ..........

Can i also change the default settings of my default Text editor (that comes with the hp-ux 11.20 installation)

command would be;

Code: [ Select ]
dtterm -bg white -fn <fontset>


Of course, replace <fontset> with the X11 fontset of your choice.

Depending upon your shell, you could alias the dtterm to this entire setting.

Hmm. The default editor in the GUI of HP-UX? Is that Arpus/CE? I am not sure how to go about making those changes -- when I used HPUX it was all command line.

I would like to think they have a man page for it at the very least, or a google search should turn up something.
