Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the Lain OS
that is in development.
I'm getting kind of interested but I'm rather inexperienced in that field,
so any info would be welcome.

Thanks

Looks just like another *nix distro from the text there.

No FAQ, no Gallery, Calendar's 6 months out of date, one of their main "sponsors" websites is down that they're linking to all over the place.

Doesn't exactly instill confidence. I'll wait and see how the project is in another 6 months :)

Ok,
Thanks for the interest.
The forum is usually pretty active and thats where most of everything goes on right now. The project Director is moveing at the moment so they predict a little bit of a stall. but 6 months? *shrugs* Oh well.

For a project as big as an operating system, even if you're basic it off an existing Linux/BSD kernel, takes a LONG time to get together in any real useful distributable state. I've seen a lot less complex projects take longer.

6 months isn't too long a duration.
