Well, I never really used torrents on linux much before now, but after my first torrent I realized how FAST torrents dl on linux, I average about 200-300kb/s on cable per torrent. See here!

Wow thats pretty incredible, I havn't really noticed a difference in my speeds. It might just be your downloads although that's pretty fast for something with so few seeds and leechers.

I wish I had speeds that fast haha.

Heh, it was a fluke, while they do run pretty fast still (in the 40-60 kb/s range), the 200-300kb/s speeds stop at about 1/2 way so the uploads can catch up. So much for that :(

The only thing I can tell you is that its running GNOME...that's it...and it's not SuSe unless he's heavily modified it. Or any of the 'newbie' distro's like Xandros and Linspire.

But....if your just looking for the OS, technically its linux.

:D funny stuff right there.. actually i was looking more for the distro, because the OS being linux is rather obvious. lol and i knew it was GNOME too, but what made me curious was the update icon in the upper left corner because i have the same. although i think i've read somewhere that mandrake is ..how do i word this.. a "spin off" from red hat? something to that effect, so it would make sense that it would have the same icons..

so which is it? lol
