Hey Guys
I'm downloading the Ubuntu .iso ATM.
Should be done in about 300 years.
SOO when it is, I will be happy.
Couple of questions.
Is there a browser included with Ubuntu.
Will the live CD still work if I burn it to a DVD.
And lastly, can I download and save files onto my hardrivve with the Live CD.
This would be cool, because I want to test out aircrack.
You guys rock.
And soon,
I'm going to have a lot bigger, more complex problem for you all.
It involves triple booting, XP, Linux and *cough*Mac OS X *cough* *wink wink*.
But there is a catch
XP on one hard-drive, and Linux and that other one that we can't talk about on another.
But that one is for when I get my hard drive. =]=]=]

Peace,
Swanniebroo

Ubuntu does come with firefox.

It ought to work on a dvd even though it won't fill the entire thing.

You can download and save files to hard drive, but you will have to mount the hard drive first. Doing that might cause problems for a windows installation if it is an NTFS partition. A better idea would be to use a usb flash drive.

And for trying out aircrack, there is a slax cd called backtrack that has that tool preinstalled as well as a bunch of other fun little programs, you might want to try that one also.

You should be able to write to a FAT32 pretty easy.

Let me clarify that last bit: Slax is a slackware based live cd, this particular one is called backtrack. It comes with all kinds of "hacking" tools pre-installed (including the aircrack-ng thing) so all you have to do is boot it up and possibly configure a driver or two. Google backtrack linux.
